We're still alive! This July will mark the one year anniversary of Fountain Pen Classifieds.

Come back for a visit and let me know that this experiment is worth continuing.

To put it bluntly, if you don't stop in to use FPC, then there's no sense for me to continue spending time and money on the site.

We have over 900 members, let's see some activity!

Now, in the interest of keeping FPC useful, I have some late Spring cleaning to do.

Old listings that haven't been tended in months aren't very useful to anyone. If your listing is no longer active (sold, ended, withdrawn, etc.), please mark it as "SOLD" or "ENDED" in either the title or subtitle:
  • Log into FPC
  • Go to your listing
  • Click the "Edit" button
  • Click the "Use Full Editor" button.
  • Add the words "SOLD," "ENDED," "TRADED," or "WITHDRAWN" to your title or subtitle so I can see it easily. PLEASE DO NOT DELETE YOUR ORIGINAL TEXT!!!!
  • Click "Submit Modified Post" when you are finished.
I wish there was a simpler way to do this, but there isn't -- not without expensive custom programming (and that ain't going to happen with the level of recent activity).

IMPORTANT!

All active posts older than January 1, 2012 will be moved to their respective "Ended" areas if you do not log in and give them a "bump."

A "bump" is a short reply post that can say something like "Still available" or even the word "bump." Just put something in the reply to show your listing is still active.

The deadline for bumping your active posts that are older than January 1, 2012 is Friday, May 18.

As I've said before, the more activity we have on FPC, the better it is for everybody.

If you already post on FPN, Pentrace, Zoss, etc., please post here, too. The more exposure your listings get, the faster you'll get the action you desire.

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you on FPC.

EDIT: Adding Facebook and Twitter icons to help get more activity on social media.

Has there been more activity in the last few weeks?  There should be.

Seeing more items posted, but actual web traffic is about the same as March, which was up from February.

What's going on regarding the "should?"

Yes, they are definitely picking up. Seeing some old "faces" coming back and lots of new member registrations.
